Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or place entered in a search box is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the request and supplies its results. Fulton County Criminal History does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email sent to us may be retained long enough to answer and maintain the related correspondence. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, servers and analytics tools can collect routine technical information about the visit:
- Page-view dates and times
- Visited pages and approximate time spent on them
- Device type and operating system
- Browser type and version
- A referring website, when one is supplied
- The device's assigned IP address
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device. They help measure traffic patterns, including which pages are used most and where visits end. Analytics providers combine that activity into reports. Browser controls can block cookies, although some site features may then work differently.

No Criminal-Record Data on File
Fulton County Criminal History does not build, maintain, or sell a database of personal criminal records. It publishes general directions to Fulton County agencies, courts, the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services, and the New York State Sex Offender Registry. Visitor data is not assembled into a report about another person. This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Information submitted to a tool is governed by that provider's privacy terms rather than this policy. Partners control how long they retain data and when they disclose it. Review those terms before running a search.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to a sheriff, court, state agency, legal resource, or outside search service. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination's privacy policy applies. Check it before providing personal information.
Advertising providers may also use their own systems to measure activity across websites and select targeted ads.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be available to:
- Analytics vendors measuring site traffic and performance
- Search partners processing a query submitted to their tool
- Advertising networks serving ads on the pages
- Government or law-enforcement bodies acting under a valid legal demand
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable, commonly used safeguards protect collected data. No internet service can guarantee perfect security, however, and this site cannot promise that a breach will never occur.
Users Under 18
This resource is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If such data is identified, a request may be made for its prompt deletion.
Your Data Rights
Rights can vary with the law that applies where a visitor lives. New York Public Officers Law § 87 governs access to agency records, while Executive Law § 837 addresses DCJS criminal-history administration and dissemination. Those government-record rules do not turn this private site into a state repository. Subject to applicable law, a visitor may:
- Request access to personal data held about that visitor
- Ask that inaccurate personal data be corrected
- Seek deletion where the law permits it
- Decline certain forms of data processing when an opt-out right applies
