Need an Official Record?

Use the Fulton County or New York office that created and maintains the requested record:

  • Court case files: use the Fulton County criminal court case records routes or call the clerk of the court that heard the case
  • Personal rap sheets: request a fingerprint-based Personal Record Review from the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services

  • Police and incident reports: file with the Sheriff, Gloversville Police, Johnstown Police, or State Police according to who wrote the report

For a Sheriff's incident report, use the Fulton County Sheriff's Civil Division, 2712 State Highway 29, Johnstown, NY 12095, 518-736-2100. The county requires an in-person FOIL form and a copy of the requester's driver's license, then calls after an investigator approves release or issues a denial.
